This nonprofit’s mission is clear: to grow the next generation of farmers by connecting the community to sustainable agriculture.
Raleigh City Farm needed a website as clear and concise as their mission. We designed a responsive website and fleshed-out their identity and brand guidelines to keep their growing brand consistent. We worked together to develop a color palette and typeface family that expanded on the logo and mark they already had, creating a cohesive brand experience.
Since then, we’ve continued to partner with Raleigh City Farm by creating print collateral, seasonal social campaigns, and signage. We particularly enjoyed partnering with them on a recent year-end fundraising campaign.
We recommend visiting the farm regularly to volunteer, buy local produce, and attend events. They have a beautiful event each fall called Harvest Dinner where local chefs use the season’s bounty to craft a magical dinner under the stars.
Website
Raleigh City Farm had a mobile-responsive, informative website. But, their small staff was consistently answering the same questions to the public via phone and email… How to buy local produce? Is it a strawberry picking farm? When is the next yoga event?
Once we uncovered their pain points and developed a strategy based on their customers’ needs, we did a full overhaul to the website’s design, userflow, and content. Using the web analytics data from their existing site, we knew that most people wanted to volunteer or attend an event. With a new design and stronger navigation flow, we made it easy to engage with one of Raleigh’s most beloved spaces.
Since launching their new site, Raleigh City Farm has seen a 200% increase in the average time spent on page, a dramatic increase in volunteer and event interest ,and a significant decrease in staff time spent answering FAQs.

Marketing
Raleigh City Farm was developing their End of Year Fundraising Campaign, and needed a plan and implementation to increase giving.
To celebrate all the ways their nonprofit grew, we developed a digital strategy to showcase their milestones via blog, email campaign, and social media posts. We focused on celebrating the people who make Raleigh City Farm possible. Our favorite part? Designing a series of Instagram posts that independently tell powerful stories, and then come together to create a cohesive poster in the grid. The Raleigh community gave generously — year-end donations increased by 73%.
