This nonprofit’s mission is clear: to grow the next generation of farmers by connecting the community to sustainable agriculture.

Raleigh City Farm needed a website as clear and concise as their mission. We designed a responsive website and fleshed-out their identity and brand guidelines to keep their growing brand consistent. We worked together to develop a color palette and typeface family that expanded on the logo and mark they already had, creating a cohesive brand experience.

Since then, we’ve continued to partner with Raleigh City Farm by creating print collateral, seasonal social campaigns, and signage. We particularly enjoyed partnering with them on a recent year-end fundraising campaign.

We recommend visiting the farm regularly to volunteer, buy local produce, and attend events. They have a beautiful event each fall called Harvest Dinner where local chefs use the season’s bounty to craft a magical dinner under the stars.

Website

Raleigh City Farm had a mobile-responsive, informative website. But, their small staff was consistently answering the same questions to the public via phone and email… How to buy local produce? Is it a strawberry picking farm? When is the next yoga event?

Once we uncovered their pain points and developed a strategy based on their customers’ needs, we did a full overhaul to the website’s design, userflow, and content. Using the web analytics data from their existing site, we knew that most people wanted to volunteer or attend an event. With a new design and stronger navigation flow, we made it easy to engage with one of Raleigh’s most beloved spaces.

Since launching their new site, Raleigh City Farm has seen a 200% increase in the average time spent on page, a dramatic increase in volunteer and event interest ,and a significant decrease in staff time spent answering FAQs.

Social Media Marketing

There are so many ways local neighbors can #DigWhereYouLive, so Raleigh City Farm communicates regularly with helpful agricultural information, community events, and volunteer opportunities.

We strategically determined channels, frequency of posts, and content pillars to keep this nonprofit front-and-center to its followers. Goodness wrote regularly scheduled custom content, created custom graphics, leveraged brand-centric hashtags, and kept engagement high for their 20k+ followers across 4 platforms.

Marketing

Raleigh City Farm was developing their End of Year Fundraising Campaign, and needed a plan and implementation to increase giving.

To celebrate all the ways their nonprofit grew, we developed a digital strategy to showcase their milestones via blog, email campaign, and social media posts. We focused on celebrating the people who make Raleigh City Farm possible. Our favorite part? Designing a series of Instagram posts that independently tell powerful stories, and then come together to create a cohesive poster in the grid. The Raleigh community gave generously — year-end donations increased by 73%.

Hear It Straight From Our Clients
Once we launched my new site, I started getting emails from potential clients—I rarely got website leads before. I know that a well-designed, up-to-date website helps my business get new customers. I’m glad that I placed it in the caring, confident hands of Goodness. They made me feel taken care of.

Deb Zechini

Owner, Order In The House

We could not have met and surpassed our goal without the help of Goodness. We wanted to participate in Giving Tuesday on Facebook, but were overwhelmed by all the details and knowledge required to plan and execute well. Tara came in and made the process so smooth, relayed our message perfectly, and handled the crazy speed of the campaign when it went live. Because of Goodness, so many lives in Haiti have been impacted for the better.

Elizabeth Brown

Admin, Hope for Haiti Foundation

Mental health is my passion and purpose; and bringing a nonprofit to the Triangle to raise awareness and support has been a goal of mine. The care, time, energy, and hard work Dustin and Tara have devoted in helping make Green Compass a reality has been more than I could have imagined. Literally, nothing but “goodness” from this team.

Whitney Jones

Founder, Green Compass

I just want to take this opportunity to say what a fantastic job Goodness has done for us. For over four years our staff has been working to produce the professional-quality, co-branded, consistent materials that their team has delivered. We have worked with other local and national design/marketing firms and no one else has been as thorough, productive, cost-effective, and just plain old fun to work with as Goodness. We are very fortunate to have them as a key business partner.

Buddy Gupton

They are always available and respond to any urgent matter in a timely and effective way the first time around! They are great designers who produce beautiful, compelling, and working content. They also provide advice on a variety of fronts. My organization and I are very happy with Goodness and will highly recommend it to anyone.

Julio Bermudez

President, Architecture, Culture and Spirituality Forum

We hired Goodness to revamp our cocktail bar and what a splendid job they did! Our package included naming, brand id, logo, and a menu design. On top of that, we got plenty of content ideas and strategies to direct our marketing plan. With Tara’s background in restaurant concepting and launching and Dustin’s keen eye for current design trends, they were a perfect match for our mission. Through breezy exercises, their thoughtful approach to brand identity made the soul searching process easy and digestible, and now we can embrace our bar with pointed clarity. Thanks to the Goodness team!

Sarah Chung

They intently listen to what we’re looking for and ask questions to make sure they understand the vision we have. They always come back with something original and creative. Their work is the quality of a large marketing and design firm, but it comes with the personal attention that only a small business can provide.

Margaret Hartzell

Director of Development, North Carolina League of Conservation Voters

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Tara and Dustin to revamp our website. The process was so collaborative and they managed to get to know our work, our team, and our ethos in a way that was reflected back in the final product. They met every deadline and exceeded every expectation, and they are just delightful people to work with.

Emily Sutton

Waterkeeper, Waterkeepers Carolina

From our first email to the launch of our new website and brand identity, Goodness was very, very good to us. Dustin and Tara have this crazy intuition for people and brands, and they know how to articulate and pull out the best in each of us. We wholeheartedly believe our brand and website genuinely reflect who we are and what we aim to accomplish with our customers. Thank you, Goodness!

Stephanie Brooks

I absolutely love my logo and colors with my branding! Tara and Dustin really understood what I was going for with my mission and goals. I’m so proud of it and feel like their services have set my company up for success. Definitely worth the investment!
